The City has authorized the assessments listed below for services benefitting specific properties. The links will provide with you detailed history, geographic boundaries, and operational information on each individual assessment.
The November tax bill assessment amount is for the current service period covering October 1st through September 30th. It is not the same period that covers ad valorem taxes.
The assessment amounts are determined through the annual budget process, including public hearings. The event notifications provided on this page identify the dates, times and locations of the meetings and public hearings pertaining to the assessment determination. *on each subdivided lot zoned for a single family residence or zoned multi-family with single family residences, pro-rated in the case of ownership of partial lots according to the proportion of the original subdivided lot area held
**for each square foot of land lying less than 120 lineal feet from any dedicated canal or waterway, or from seawalls or bulkheads abutting Charlotte Harbor for properties zoned for other than single family residences excluding zoned for multi-family with single family residences
***a unit being defined as a 10,000 square feet area or portion thereof
