Veterans Park 

Located at the entrance into Laishley Park, the Park experienced the recent dedication of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.  Staff worked with community partners to develop a concept plan for the park's renovations, including parking & streetscape, honor walk, mural wall plaza, Purple Heart memorial, donors plaza, and gazebo ceremonial plaza.  Support the Vietnam Memorial enhancements by purchasing a custom engraved brick.  Simply print and fill out the form located at  Purchase a Custom Engraved Brick and return to Vietnam Wall of Southwest Florida P.O.  HISTORY OF THE NATIONAL VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial stands as a symbol of America's honor and recognition of the men and women who served and sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War. Inscribed on the black granite walls are the names of more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives or remain missing. Yet the Memorial itself is dedicated to honoring the "courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty and country" of all who answered the call to serve during the longest war in U.S. history.
