Someone once said that employees bring all of themselves to work.  If life is stressful, or there are problems at home, those things do not stay at home.  Sometimes, a person just needs a little help or guidance to navigate life.  That is what an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers -- HELP.

The City, as part of its health insurance coverage, offers an EAP plan through Resources For Living.  The services that are available range from mental health counseling to financial management to end of life issues.  We encourage employees to browse the website or make a phone call to the toll-free number:  1-800-272-3626.  Resources For Living offers help in the following areas. Contact the Benefits CoordinatorRisk Coordinator, or Human Resources Manager to obtain the user name and password to access the site.

  • Family
  • Health
  • Life
  • Workplace

Various discounts and webinars are also available to City employees.  These can be accessed at the same website.  All these resources are readily available from your computer or other electronic device and they are all free to City employees.
