Memorial Day Observances
Military Heritage Museum
On Monday May 28, the Military Heritage Museum and the Charlotte County Veterans Council will conduct their annual Memorial Day program at the Veterans Kiwanis Garden, Laishley Park, in Punta Gorda. The Memorial Day ceremony begins at 11:00 AM with the U.S. Paratroopers posting the colors. Michael Raymond, Commander of American Legion Post 110 will serve as the keynote speaker. A wreath laying ceremony conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America at the Vietnam Memorial Wall will follow the Memorial Day ceremony.
