TEAM Punta Gorda hosts free kayak clinic

          TEAM Punta Gorda’s Maritime Committee is hosting a free one-day clinic for anyone interested in kayaking.  The clinic will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday March 25 at the Isles Yacht Club, 1780 W, Marion.

No reservation required.

Whether you have ever been in a kayak or are proficient in kayaking, this clinic is for you. Various types of kayaks will be available for demonstrations, and speakers will provide safety instructions and handouts. A raffle for a state-of-the-art kayak accessory will be held, and light refreshments served.

          Learn how to paddle a kayak. How to buy or lease a kayak.  Be prepared this fall when TEAM sponsors a naturalist-guided paddle event in local waterways, including the Peace River, Shell Creek, Alligator Creek, Lettuce Lake and Ponce de Leon waters.
